We seek an experienced Safety Officer with strong negotiation skills to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations across our operations. You’ll oversee safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to uphold our zero-harm culture.
Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies for waste collection, recycling, and disposal.
Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Negotiate with clients, vendors, and government agencies to align safety standards and resolve disputes.
Train employees on safety procedures (PPE, hazardous waste handling, emergency response).
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations.
Lead safety meetings and promote a proactive safety culture.
3+ years in safety management (waste/environmental sector preferred).
Proven negotiation experience (e.g., contracts, permits, regulatory compliance).
Certifications: OSHA 30, NEBOSH, or equivalent.
Knowledge of waste management safety protocols (chemical handling, heavy machinery).
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
